The Scene:
Step inside Wardlow House, Melbourne, 1929, and enter the world of the honorable Miss Phryne Fisher, lady detective. Picture Dot Williams turning the corner from the dining room, fresh from polishing the silver. Peek in on Cec and Bert as they bicker back and forth. In the kitchen, Mr. Butler prepares a light snack.
In the lavishly furnished drawing room, DI Jack Robinson leans against the fireplace mantle holding a scotch on the rocks. Between subtle flirtations with Miss Fisher, he discusses the newest revelations that have been discovered earlier in the day. This newest case involves a grisly murder, and a string of contradicting clues. No matter how much he tries to resist, he knows that feedback from his unofficial investigative partner Phryne Fisher is what he needs to solve the case. If he could just get her to stop taking things into her own hands.
Miss Fisher takes a sip from a glass of red wine. She reclines gracefully on a nearby Art Nouveau fainting chair while holding Jack’s gaze. Of course she’s going to do whatever it takes to solve the case – risks be damned!
